After reading over 100 advance reader copies and finding countless errors that slipped through the stages of editing, I decided to take a course on proofreading to hone my skills. Since March 2025, I’ve worked on over fifty books.

Proofreading Only

The goal of this service is to simply correct any errors that have slipped through the editing process. Corrections will be made so that your manuscript is free from grammatical errors, typographical errors, and formatting errors. All corrections are based on guidelines found in The Chicago Manual of Style.

Light Copyediting + Proofreading

This is a more in-depth read-through. The goal of this service is to correct and improve the writing. This service includes everything in the “proofreading only” package as well as improvements in sentence structure, adjustments in unclear dialogue, and locating inconsistencies in verb tense and descriptions. All suggestions are based on guidelines found in The Chicago Manual of Style.

A $50 deposit (via Venmo or PayPal) is required upon booking. The remaining balance is to be paid upon receipt of manuscript. Delay of payment could mean delay of service.
